Students

In December 2015, the program included 90 active students, of which 28 were master students, 51 PhD students, and 11 direct PhD students. These numbers show the maturity of the program and its alignment with the Postgraduate Studies National Plan, which highlights the need for emphasis on PhD and direct PhD programs.

Of all students, 17% are foreigners, a much higher number than the national average.

Some students are part of double degree programs in partnership with European universities, and there is potential for establishing new double degree agreements.

The first double degree PhD within the program was conferred in 2015, in partnership with the University of Pádova, Italy.
